Cefin (Centro Studi Banca e Finanza) is a research center based in the Marco Biagi Economics Department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

The Cefin mission is to promote research in economics and finance with a multidisciplinary approach that combines the tools and methods of economics, law and finance. The main research areas are: Banking, Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, Start-up Finance, Household Finance, Behavioural Finance, Pensions, Risk management, Financial Regulation e supervision, Asset pricing, Macrofinancial scenarios, Law and economics, Financial literacy.

Cefin members are faculty and researchers of the “Marco Biagi” Economics Department and of other academic and research institutions in Italy and Europe.

Cefin assigns a primary role to the dissemination of the research output through:

– a Working Papers series (ISSN 2282-8168) – published by Cefin members since 2007 – and index-linked in RePEc.

– a series of Short Notes, focused on subject matters of prevalent interest for the Italian economy.
